Please note: Managing the Meltdowns will be taught VIRTUALLY at this time. Before your class, you will receive an email with a link that will allow you to join the group.
Tantrums, whining, and overall challenging behaviors are typical and expected for young children of many ages. However, the expressions of these big emotions look different at every age and stage of development. It can be difficult for parents and caregivers to figure out the best way to handle challenging behaviors. In addition, sometimes the most well-meaning adults inadvertently do things to make matters worse.
Managing the Meltdowns, for the Terrible Twos, Three-nagers and Beyond, is a 1.5 hour course, taught by Maria Sanders, LSW, a certified Parent Coach and Collaborative Problem-Solving Trainer. This course will help parents and caregivers learn how to shift their thinking about challenging behavior, teach them how to respond in a way that builds crucial thinking skills appropriate for their child’s age, and strengthen the parent-child relationship with the appropriate responses.
This course is taught live and will be interactive – we encourage discussion and questions throughout!
